    Free kilt to needy home

A local person has donated a kilt to the museum with instructions that we are to "give it to a young man who really wants a kilt but cannot afford one."

It's an ancient Caledonia tartan kilt. It's an older kilt, a medium weight saxony cloth, with a few moth holes here and there. It's knife pleated, to sett. Brown leather straps. No label to indicate maker.

Waist size is 34.5" and length is 25".

Free to someone who needs it (we'd just ask that you pick up shipping unless you can come pick it up in person).

It's just my size, but I don't feel worthy.

Matt: If this opportunity is still available, I have a very worthy target. He is a good friend you frequents this site, so for propriety's sake I can not go into details. However, suffice to say my friend and his young family have been struggling for awhile and a solidly constructed kilt has been put out of reach for the indefinite future.

Wow I could really use something like this. I am a brand new piper and the pipe band I am with just recently said I am ready to play with them but I need a kilt. I have absolutely no money to save up for a kilt before October 2nd (My first parade) The kilt still around?

Just the other night I was channel hopping and caught snippets of the movie "Pay It Forward". I would say this counts as an example of paying it forward. I hope the recipient of the kilt enjoys it.
