    Interest in Carolina tartan?

Twice in recent years we have had a bolt of Carolina tartan woven in 16 oz wool, traditional Wilson of Bannockburn colors, so that we have been able to offer yard goods, kilts, etc., at standard pricing (as opposed to custom weave).

We have recently sold out of the last remaining yardage from our most recent production run.

We have already had some asking about this tartan's availability. Of course individuals can always put in orders for us to do small special runs for them, but we may consider doing yet another production run to be able to offer this tartan at standard pricing if there is sufficient interest.

So this thread is a tool to help gauge that interest. Please respond here if you are interested, and how many yards or what products you may be interested in. This is NOT a commitment to order. Just an indication of interest.

The cloth would be 54" wide, and likely retail for $75/yd. Any style kilt would sell for our standard 16 oz pricing for that style.

Here are some pics of the tartan to entice interest!

I'd certainly be interested in 2.5 meters!

Though I'm not in a position to order right away, I'd love to do a box pleat of this at some point.

Being more Carolinian than Scottish, I would love to have a Kinguisse or knife pleat in this tartan... one day.

However, I'm not purchasing "heirloom quality" kilts at this time as I am mid-way through losing 200lbs (I've got about 65 to go). I am pretty sure my measurements will be considerably different at my goal weight than they will in the next 6 months.

I have interest though I'm not sure on yardage at this time. And I have a brother who would probably have interest as well.

I noticed on the STA website just yesterday UNC-CH does not have a tartan of its own.

I am interested, as a Carolina alum.

I'll be wanting another yard in the future. I'm going to try my hand at making a bias-cut waistcoat.

That is a beautiful tartan. Is it for North Carolina only, or both Carolinas?
