Kilt Raffle -- Three Days to Go

Time's almost up, so act now if you want to get your name in the drawing for the Kilt Raffle we are holding.

    http://scottishtartans.org/raffle.htm

Chances are $5 each. The winner gets a box pleated kilt made new to his measurements, in any stock tartan of his choosing (stock here means any heavy or medium weight tartan stock supported by Lochcarron, House of Edgar, D. C. Dalgleish or Strathmore).

You purchase as many chances as you like. All proceeds go to benefit the museum!

This should be fun to watch.

Of course, some kid from Dubuque who has no interest in a kilt will probably win.

Ahh, thank you for the reminder Matt.

Best of luck to all who enter. Hopefully one day soon I'll get to stop in and see the museum.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Thanks for the heads up. I just purchased a few. Hope the museum achieves its goal and keeps doing the great work it does.

Gee, I certainly hope not, now that I have some skin in the game!

If there were 100 tickets and I bought 99 of them, the one I didn't buy would still win!

Not to try to jinx you, McClef, but I hope I'd have the 100th then, because it will be my first kilt if I win.

Of course, I've probably just jinxed myself

    Regards,

Done dat. Not a huge fan of the box pleat style, but it is a good cause. I've gotten quite a bit out of Matt's blog and his work at STM that I figure it's worth supporting even if I don't win a kilt. My little thanks.
