Re: Sad day for the Scottish Tartans Museum
Walter's passing is a loss for us all.
I stopped in at the Museum yesterday, and noticed that the lights were not on. Then, I saw the notice on the door. I sat on Walter's bench, and shared his craving for a cigarette, and remembered how Walter enjoyed his smokes.
Walter was a true gentleman. And he was a pleasure to talk with. Always.

Re: Sad day for the Scottish Tartans Museum
My condolences to all family, friends and associates of Walter Taylor, may he rest in peace.
Whenever I go through Franklin when traveling between Pigeon Forge Tennessee and Florida, I stop at the museum. During one of those stops, Matt introduced me to Walter. A true gentleman. I was my honor to have been lucky enough to have met him.

Re: Sad day for the Scottish Tartans Museum
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words and condolences. The funeral service yesterday was very nice, and well attended -- many of the men were in kilts, as was I, of course. I had the honor of being asked to eulogize Walter. In my remarks I recalled how Walter was one of those who first interviewed me when I applied to work at the Scottish Tartans Museum back in 1997. I could not begin to imagine how different my life would have been had he not decided to hire me on that day 15 years ago.

His obituary describes an engaged and interesting individual. Your obvious regard for him tells us something of his personality, and his value in your life.
My condolences to all who knew him.
