    2 Tartan ID's Please

    Hey Guys,

I have a couple tartans I'm stumped on. Can anyone (Matt? Peter?) help identify these?

First note: The first one IS NOT MACPHERSON. It's got yellow guards on the center red / blue stripe and it does NOT have the black lines running through the blue section. It's one I think I have seen before, but can't place it.

This second one may or may not be a registered tartan. If it is, I'm looking for the name.

The first I have on record as first being noted in 1994. The information came from TECA so I suspect that it was seen in the US.

I can't track down the second so it's either a recent one or a previously unknown trade sett.

What was the name associated with the first?

You won't find it (the 2nd one) there. I use the larger academic version and it's not in there, yet. Will be added shortly.
