You seem to be asking a question, but I have no idea what the question is.

Sorry. Too brief I guess, but yes. Are those the House of Edgar Modern colours that I am seeing? It's hard to tell from their web images exactly what the real thing looks like, at least to my eye.

No, both of those kilts look more like House of Edgar's muted colors.

That photo is from the BBC show Monarch of the Glen. I believe it is the Hogmany special from Series 5.

Not so sure about the one on the right. the B and G look too dark especially compared with those on the left.

I think you may confused about which two kilts Matt was referencing. Duncan's kilt (right in the top photo) is Hunting Stewart in modern colors. The two kilts referred to, though (left kilt in top photo, Rocky's kilt in the bottom photo), also appear to my eye to both be HOE's muted color scheme.
Cordially,
David

Must be a trick of the light which these colours seem to be quite prone to.
Elsewhere, this has been identified as HoE muted.

It doesn't quite look the same, but close I guess.
I had assumed this was HoE muted as well, but now I'm guessing it's ancient colours of some kind.

Can anyone provide images of MacDonald or a similarly coloured tartan in HoE modern?
