    Information on Gem.

Does anybody know anything about this tartan? STA and the register dont really say much. I know its very close if not, exactly like Maclaine of Lochbuie hunting. Probably only differance is set size?

    Any help is much appreciated.

That is MacLaine of Lochbuie Hunting. For some reason Marton Mills decided to give it the fashion name of "gem."

Thanks Matt. Thats kinda what I figured but thought I'd ask to make sure.

Just for curiosity's sake, any idea why they called it Gem? Is that a family/district/place name?

    Thanks again.

I have no idea. Seems to me if they are going to weave MacLaine of Lochbuie Hunting, they ought to just call it MacLaine of Lochbuie Hunting.
