    Maple Leaf Tartan now official!

The Government of Canada makes Maple Leaf Tartan an official symbol of Canada.

This is great news, and in time for Tartan Day on April 6!

Good news indeed, and entirely expected. It's a handsome tartan.

Congratulations, Canada. Took almost thirty years, though, to officially recognise what the rest of us knew was the perfect choice.

Congrats to Canada. Now if only the U. S. would make a tartan official...

This creates a real problem. I've liked that tartan since I first saw it; very much to my taste. Now, do I remain happily married while admiring the tartan from afar? or do I become a homeless-but-very-attractive-in-my-new-kilt man? These are not easy decisions to make!
