Millenium tartan
This is the tartan that Angus Harvey was wearing this weekend at the Renn Faire. Is this the same as the Bicentennial tartan? It does not appear to be, but it is a bloody gorgeous tartan. Angus mentioned that it was one of his favorites, and he actually had to place a patch on the underapron behind where his kilt pin was attached as the pin fastening had worn the material in that area.
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

Nope. The US St. Andrew's/Bicentennial tartan was designed in the 1970's for the US Bicentennial (which btw, it was never officially adopted for that purpose), whilst the Millennium tartan was designed back in the late 90's by Locharron for the Millennium celebrations.
There is another Millennium tartan as well, depicted here:

Thread moved to our heraldry & tartans section, btw -- please use this section when discussing all things tartan!
Cheers,

That's one of the tartans that we stock in rental kilts. It's not as popular as the Black Watch kilts that we also rent, but I think it is very attractive. A good balance of colors.

So Matt (KCW steps closer, leans in, and say softly), tell me, do you ever sell the older rental kilts? Really, you can tell me, I won't let anybody else know!
Todd, sorry about that. I still haven't gotten used to the new section.
