New Druid Tartan

Since I'm on the Scottish Register of Tartans's mailing list, I get notified by e-mail of all new registrations. This one piqued my curiosity a bit when I saw it... A "druid" tartan. Now, I don't know much about that sort of thing, but I can tell you that my lvl 80 Night Elf on Muradin is doing just fine with the armor he has on currently...

Anyway, for anyone who's interested to see it: http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar...aspx?ref=10102

Personally, I can't say I much care for the design.... But that's just my own sense of aesthetics.

I'm happy that the Druids have a tartan now, but "lvl 80 Night Elf"?

It somehow looks appropriate. Is it that it looks "old" to me?

I love the "for all Druids to wear" line...is there that big of a Druid population out there that they expect a big demand?

Best

What about a tartan for Druish Princesses?

Hmmm, I had to go get the thread count and decode it...

Seems like there's a lot of white with gold stripes in it.

I'm not sure of what to make of these colors together, but there's no explaination of why the colors were chosen.

Actually there are.
The British Druid Order
The Druid Clan of Dana
The Gorsedd of Bards of the Isles of Britain
The Henge of Keltria
*the above were found with a quick Google
The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD)
Not to mention all of the local groves that exist. You could check http://www.adf.org/core/index.html for a list of groves that are members if your interested. There are probably other places to look as well but I mention the ADF since I was introduced to them through a grove in Pittsburgh.

Of course, how many might be interested in actually buying the tartan is likely a whole different story.
