Not to rain on a joke, but virgin wool isn't from "virgin" sheep. It simply means the wool is spun and woven for the first time, coming of the sheep. Non-virgin wool uses wool that has been used before (called shoddy). In general virgin wool has the longest staple length, making the resulting material stronger and better than wool made with shoddy.
