    Old Culloden Tartan thread...

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post; I hope I'm correct.

Anyhow, I find myself still quite curious whatever happened to the idea first presented at the end of 2008 in the thread entitled Custom-Run of Original Culloden Tartan.

I was quite excited at the time to see if this was going to move forward... I'm holding out some sort of hope.

Don't know about the previous thread but I'm the one that rediscovered the original jacket & am in the process of having some woven up at the moment.

I've been gone for a while, so I'm not quite following what you mean about rediscovering the original jacket...

Joe: I'd still be interested, without a doubt.

There was never enough interest to justify a double-width run. Minium order for Dalgliesh to weave DW is 16 yards, that's only 4 kilts (or 8, if 4yd box pleats...

I think we can get enough interest to make a 16 yard run

How much are we talking per yard?

I was interested in 2 at the time and could probably justify 4 now.

Ok, I will go for 3 yards double or 4 single
    as I see it we have;

    Me 3 yards
    Derek 4 yards
    davidlpope 2 yards

    Thats 9 yards spoken for

there were other people interested on the old thread to add another 8 yards if they are are still interested

    Sir William
    CelticRanger
    pdcorlis
    Fougasse
    JRB
    Tartan Hiker
    Tattoo Bradley

    all showed an interest

I think that we could do this with a little effort

If Matt Newsome would allow us to PAY PAL the money to him and he could place the order when it we get the total needed.
