    Plaid from Culloden

I'm working on a paper on the so called plaid from Culloden that appeared in Stewart's Old & Rare. In particular I'm attempting to gather together as many pieces of the original in order to confirm the sett which has always been the subject of disagreement. Here are two examples:

I've photographed the Blair Castle sample and know other fragements exist but don't have any images. It would be very helpful if anyone has any pictures/knows of any other pieces of this plaid that would aid in my research.

An article on the story so far - http://www.scottishtartans.co.uk/Pla...m_Culloden.pdf

Hopefully this might turn up some other pieces.

A most intriguing puzzle, Peter, and I can see you are somewhat frustrated with the state of your findings. I wish you every success in further research into this fascinating remnant (or collection of remnants).

I'd never heard of this before. How fascinating! The colors look so vivid for something so old.

Here's a modern reweave that replicates the 1822 setting.

    Note the black selvedge mark.

I have 6 yds heavy weight if anyone is interested.
