Tartan of the month - November: What do yo see?

It's that time again. Try this one.

Looks like the back side of a pair of trews.
Seriously, I'm no good at this, but I can barely wait to know though.

Looks to be a smaller sett, maybe 5".
I see Green between the two thick red lines and I'm going to guess at Blue for much of the rest of it based on a curious pale thread running across the piece which looks a little blue on my monitor.
It also looks like we might have a sewn segment at the bottom. Perhaps this one is a kilt.

That was the first thing that popped in my head as well! Of course I was looking at trews this morning...that might have influenced me a bit.

I think it's the lower left rear (right under the sleeve) of a jacket of some sort. As tot he tartan, I don't have the slightest. Or, as I would say aloud, "I ain't got no idee."

Jacket was my second thought, and I think a more likely one.

And here I bow out of the discussion. I really know nothing at all. I'd just be making wild guesses.

A couple of good observations and a bit of guessing going on. Tey and describe what you see, that way you should come up with a collective view.

More pics in a while. Don't want to make it to easy just yet.

Looks like either part of a jacket or a couch to me. (Seems like there is a sewn seam in it.)

Like others, I see green between the two thick red lines and a stripe of blue. However the blue seems asymmetrical, appearing only to one side of the thin red line. And are those reflections from this being mounted under/behind glass, or are they wear/age/soil marks?

The suggestion of a jacket underarm seems logical, from a relatively fitted design.
