Tartan registry down

I don't suppose anyone would know why?

http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/

It's a government site... They've been down for almost 2 days now. Checked it through http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it doesn't seem to be just me...

Well they are down again now. This is not the first time either. This happened a couple of months ago. Down for 48 hours and then came back without a word. I don't think emailing now will have any effect; if their server is down it will just bounce back.

This is a government agency and will eventually be the repository of all tartan information. As such they really should ensure that their servers are secure.

Once they are back up, I intend to email and harry them till I get a sensible answer and some guarantees. It might be advisable for other members to do the same.

Regards

Chas
