Question TOPIC: Clan Tartan or Weaver "Oops"?

A kilt vendor put out a query on the Clan Gregor Society Forum asking if anyone knew what tartan he had been sent as MacGregor Clan. It looks like a weaver oops to me, but I'm no expert. Thought the rabble might enjoy discussion of such...

Considering the vendor only sells Utilikilts (solids) and Pakistani kilts (his tartan offerings), I would guess it's most likely a Pakistani weaver's oops. I've not seen THIS tartan in his booth at any games, but I have seen his other kilts, so I do have first hand knowledge of the quality of his kilts.

Yeah, this looks like someone tried to weave the MacGregor tartan but wasn't really attentive to detail. It lacks the black guards on the white stripe, and the proportions are wrong.

Whatever it is, it would make a nice Christmas tablecloth.

    Definitely a weaver's error IMHO.
