    Clan Chiefs

Here is a pic of me with my Clan Chief outside his ancestral home at Braemar, Aberdeenshire, taken on the formation of the Clan Farquharson Society. The Clan Chief is Captain Alwyne Compton Farquharson of Invercauld MC.

On the left is me wearing Farquharson ancient and on the right the Clan Chief is wearing a kilt he inherited (very, very old) which is ancient Farquharson but a very large sett.

    Clan Chiefs

Indeed ! One of the proudest moments of my life. Especially since the Clan Chief is one of life's true gentelmen (rare nowadays).

    Hi,

Great pic and a proud moment, for sure. What can be seen of the house is most interesting, any pics showing more of it?

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

Great picture, from the look of it you have the same Barber. O'Neille
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

This just shows how the size of a sett can alter the look of the tartan. I personally prefer the larger sett, however my clan tartan (Hume) looks better in the smaller sett as the red is more concentrated, making it more colourful.
