Leather Kilt Photos
A special build for IMrL 2010, this is a deep burgundy leather kilt with a suede inside. The suede side is shown in a turned strip on the edge of the apron. This kilt has one only has one internal seam and is a full 4.5 yard of leather (due to the model's smaller size).

Yes - those are box pleats. All of my kilts are box pleated and though it was tricky to transfer to leather, I wanted to make it match my other work. It was blast to build.

I generally don't go crazy over leather kilts, but this one is really stunning. Box pleats in leather? That's out there. Love the touch of suede for contrast.
Have fun at IMrL 2010.

Incidentally, I saw this (or a copy of this) leather kilt at the Alt.Kilt dealer's table over the July 4th weekend. The pictures do not do it justice. It is really a work of art.

Oh--- I don't think the red is suede. I think it is some sort of satin.

I stand corrected.
It was a very fine suede if the same garment.
