    Chris, that is a nice sgian. I assume African Blackwood is like the heart wood of Persimmon (both are dark and more dense). Does any member know if my guess is correct. If so, I would like to try carving some style (not as good as yours) of handle other than traditional. My attempts are juvenile in comparison.
