Glad ya did well. I heard the Worldwide selection of competitors...no local walk in the park deal. You can be proud of your finishs.

Working on pics...just back and unpacked.

Ah, I actually wore my caramel Workmans at the last minute. I realized being there by myself no one would be around to hold my sporran so I needed the pockets.
.. the kilt had concealed a blaster strapped to one thigh and a knife to the other. He was aware of the present gentle customs against personal weapons, but he felt naked without them. Such customs were nonsense anyhow, foolishment from old women - there was no such thing as "dangerous weapons," only dangerous people.

Well then I think I did see you...when you were up on the high ground retreiving something. Thought it was you then said no, the kilt's wrong. And it was at a distance for my aging peepers.

Were lots of rabble there though...missed many I heard were there. Just posted pics on Show Us Your Pics of what I took.

I'm looking into who knows who in all this, Ron. SCA and all.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Saw the other thread Ron, thanks for putting faces to names.

Hiya Mel! So did you & Scratchy make it to the games or did Scratchy end up at that 'other' event? I went with Riverkilt on Saturday and had a very enjoyable day, despite still being a bit on the "bronchial" side! I met several XMarkers and even a couple of folks who I knew in the SCA! One of these days I'll get to meet you and/or Scratchy in person!

It's always fun to people watch at those events, as well as kilt watch! I spotted a guy with the basting stitches still in his pleats and thought of Ayin and his "kilt snobbery", which made me chuckle to myself! Riverkilt then pointed out the same guy to me and I said, "Yeah I saw him standing in the food vendor line that I was just in."

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the college finances will work out in your son's favor! How's your pop holding up?

    B. :hugs:
