They just released to flyers the other day...looks like some talent this year.

Of special note is the event at teh Cultural Center (across the street from Millenium Park) on the Friday night preceding the actual Fest...haven't been to one of these yet but friends who have have given it rave reviews...this year it's a definite maybe...

...and a *bump*...

Was anybody thinking of being there? Last year the only other Xsmarkser there was KCW and now he's down there shooting 'gators and putting plywood over his windows in sunny Florida...but don't worry, guys, I know that you'll all be there in spirit...I'll drink several toasts to your health...

I am going to miss that this year. It was my first real public kilted outing. And a fun time to boot. Maybe next year if my business schedule corresponds. Have fun and post some pictures.

...oh, there will be pictures...I'm hoping that my infamous "guy who didn't take the basting stitches out" still hasn't figured it out and that he'll be back again this year...and there was this charming, sweet older lady who my daughter refers to as "Bonnie, Queen of Scots" who we met last year and had a great (and loooooong) chat with...hope that she'll be there as well.

It's always funny to me how most of these festivals and games take place in bucolic areas while this one is right in the middle of the skyscraper canyon of the Chicago Loop. We'll see if we can get some shots of kilties near the Bean.
