Cumnock Highland Games
Anyone else going to the Cumnock Highland Games in Ayrshire this weekend? I am planning on being on the Clan Cunningham tent all day Sunday. Its a fairly high profile games, they are having Saor Patrol performing on Saturday evening. Aaron Neighbour, the 32-year-old Australian who was crowned Scottish Highland Games Association world heavy events champion and International Highland Games Association world heavy events champion for 2009 is due to compete in the heavies events. There are at least a dozen pipe bands lined up to take part and there will be a flypast by a World War 2 Dakota from the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at 10:25 on Sunday morning.
