East Durham, New York Irish Festival

This is a wonderful event, to which I have been going for over 20 years. Before my kids were born, I'd go on Friday and stay until Monday. These days, it's a day trip. I'll be there on Saturday, when the headliner is "Enter the Haggis." Look for this guy:

Went to the festival yesterday. "Enter the Haggis" was wonderful, as was "Greenwich Meantime," whom I had not heard of before. Also enjoyed "Shillealeagh Law," "Jameson's Revenge" and "Celtic Cross."

Wore my Irish National kilt. Saw two other tartan kilts and two black ones. That's not counting the Albany Police Pipe Band, who were kilted, of course.

I won't tell you how much Guinness I drank. You might think I'm a drunk. Let's just say you can drink quite a few pints over a 9-hour period and not be trashed.
