I had said in a post back in January of this year that I would be there. However, since there is not going to be a pipe band (nor solo) contest this year* - I help to organize it, and play with the Louisville Pipe Band - I have no reason to go down. (I also can't afford it at the moment, even as a day trip.)
*As I understand it, the Games committee has hired 2-3 bands to provide some bagpipe music for atmosphere, in addition to the 'Celtic pop' entertainers. LPB is not one of those bands.
I hope to attend both Saturday and Sunday as well as the Friday night events in Glasgow. Will be staying in the campgrounds Friday and Saturday nights. My home base will be the MacLeod tent.
Well the games came and went. And it was hot. I didn't venture out from the Barclay tent on Saturday. I didn't get to meet with any xmarkers. Was any there?
Sunday ended early when a brief storm cell blew through and took out a couple sections of clan tents. No pne was injured thankfully.

Glad to hear everyone was OK. I'm a bit surprised some of the sections came loose. They use one of those 'big top' systems where everything's connected and usually well staked down.
