You can say that again, Kyle.

Our Chief Robin Malcolm with his bride will be coming this year to GMHG for our AGM. So, I'll pony up again and make the trip. I'll try to get their early to get a camping spot near Turpin. He has the reputation for the best food, women and whisky (not necessarily in that order) at his tent in the village.
I'm not dissing your Chief at all, but I'm bringing the best woman with me, and I'm not sharing! I'm sure we can get together for a bite and taste of the pure at some point, however.

Haha! I was fumbling around on my iPhone and accidentally posted that duplicate quote!

Re: Grandfather Mountain 2012
Found out last night that our own Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans will be appearing at GMHG for the first time this year. I wasn't sure if I was going to go this year or not, but since my boy will be there with both of his bands (he also plays for Montreat Scottish P&D) I suppose I will once again be in attendance.
Maybe I'll be on time for the group photo this year...

Maybe we should do a carpool? Assuming we don't take 6 days to get there!

Re: Grandfather Mountain 2012
Slight possibility I might be able to make it this year. I work at a hotel and usually have a large wedding to work during this event, but not this year!

My family and I will be driving in from Texas for the games — arriving Thursday evening and leaving Sunday morning. Thanks to Lyle1 for the Pinnacle Inn (at Beech Mountain) recommendation. We've booked our accommodations, and I'm looking forward to meeting some Southeast XMarkers!

I'm also interested and would be coming from Northern Virginia. Thoughts?
