Do you compete or are you interested as a spectator?.... A good site for finding out about the souuthern games is www.thessaaa.org I have just started competing but have been assisting the filed judges for a couple of years. Some of the games down here are more focused on the athletics but some seem to be more a festival atmosphere where we are just the sideshow.

I was thinking about going to this.

Do you suppose mud wrestling will be one of the events?

What I really want to know is whether I'll be able to find some decent kilt hose and maybe a sporran there.

The Tennessee Highland Games or HOTSC http://www.hotsc.com has athletic events. They list them as Class A and B amature. Is this what you are looking for?
