Las Vegas games attendees...

The comedian & television host Craig Ferguson is doing 3 shows at the Orleans Casino the weekend of the Las Vegas games. Anyone interested in getting a group together to see him? I'm thinking either Friday or Sunday night. Here's more info...

Still not sure if I'll even make Vegas. grumble....scheduling and expense...its a five + hour drive for me and another three for my lady coming up from Hopi. The weekend after we're booked in Albuquerque for the Gathering of Nations and a visit with Kathy Lare.

That's a LOT of driving and expense back to back. We ain't done give up yet though. Workin' on it.

That's ok, Ron. There's a chance that we may not be able to make it down for the games ourselves. Yesterday our union started a job action, working to rule. There's a slight chance it may evolve into a full-blown strike, and if that happens we won't be able to get the extra 2 days off needed to make the drive. I have my fngers crossed that it doesn't come to that. Sigh.

Mrs. Rob and I have our tickets and hotel already secured. Looking forward to meeting some of the Rabble in town or at the games. My XMark shirt is just waiting to be packed. We may look for some assistance in getting from town out to the park. If anyone would care to pick up a couple of waifs, please give me a PM. Thanks

Rob, you have a PM. If we do manage to get the extra time off to attend the games, we'll have room for 2 couples in our vehicle. It seats 6 people quite comfortably. And don't forget, I drive a transit bus for a living...exact change or a valid transfer would be appreciated.

I should know in the next week or so if this labour dispute will cause us to miss the games. Who knows, it may actually help get us the days off!

Hmmmm...maybe I need to drag my kilted self over there after all.

I have a standing offer: I'll pay anyone Fifty Cents on the Dollar for any money they plan to gamble with. That way we both win.

Hate to see my kilted brothers shorn like the sheep who donated the wool for our kilts....

LMKAO!!

Don't worry Ron, when Karen and I "gamble", we stick to the nickel slots and limit ourselves to $10/day. We'd rather spend our time looking at the various sights than sitting in front of a table or slot machine.

Cool Al.

I usually make my money standing in front of the lottery machines at the supermarket and making that offer until I get run off by management.

Amazing how many people turn down such a good deal and lose 100% of their money instead of at least recoverying half of it through my offer.

Maybe the kilt puts them off...think they're on some sort of a hidden camera reality show.

Hey, has anyone been to the Las Vegas games before. Looks like its pretty good from the webpages...?

Ron
