    Loch Norman Highland Games

Well the Highland games are about to start up full steam in the
    Carolinas.
Next up is the Loch Norman Games on April 21st and 22nd.
They have one of the largest mass bands of all the games in the south.
Albannach will also be preforming there.
For those who want to participate, they have battle ax and longbow competitions.

I am also checking to see if any other Xmarkers are going to be there.

My kids and I will be there for the duration. We're planning to camp....KML -- do you have any campground recommendations? I probably need to make reservations soon.

    Longbow competition? Yipee!

I'll be there Saturday. I was hoping to compete in the amateur B group in athletics but it looks like they compete on Sunday so I'll just have to go enjoy the festival. Where can all the Xmarkers meet up?

Bill, I'll be camping at the Courtyard by Marriott, if that helps.

Thanks, Nelson. The folks at Rural Hill just sent me the link for the campground (I have no idea why I couldn't find it myself...Doh!!). They said that as of today they still had plenty of tent sites avaiable.

They also sent me info on the longbow competition, which is going to be held Saturday at 1:30. For anyone interested this is for longbows only...no recurves. No way will I be abe to pass this up, and I'll be wearing my new t-shirt with the MacQuarrie archer print on the front.

Barclay...we're too tough to sleep at the Marriott, but thanks for spending your money there as I have a few shares of Marriott in my portfolio

I'll be there at the Fraser tent. I believe we'll be doing another Food-sharing thing with Douglas, Wallace and I think Maxwell. Not sure of tent locations yet but Fraser will have a double-tent so we'll definitely be in that section (left side of the field as you walk in the main entrance). Hope everyone can stop by.
