The Long's Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival: September 10 - 13, 2009
Yesterday, I completed arrangements for my trip to the Long's Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival in Estes Park, CO, in mid-September. Here's the webby:

This will be my first time back in about 3 years and am very much looking forward to it!
I took it upon myself to post this thread as now is a good time to plan for this trip for those traveling from afar.
BTW, Clan Buchanan is having its AGM at this festival; so, there's another reason for some to attend.

As always, you will enjoy the time. Right now we are planning on being there and I'll be working the piping competition as always. Hope to see you around.

One of the years I went, the Lord Lyon and Randy Wallace were there. On the games webby, I didn't see if there were any special guests for this year.

I don't remember Randy Wallace being there but I did meet the Lord Lyon...after a fashion. He was within about 10 ft of where I passed by.
Drop a note when it gets closer to time and we'll set up a time to meet. If you just want to take a chance, I am usually at the piping competition area all Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. I do get a couple breaks to wander the grounds but timing on those depends on how many competitors there are.

Randy Wallace was, most of the time, isolated in a tent autographing his latest novel at the time. I wil make a point to come to the piping comp area to look for you.

I opted to go to the Buchanan Banquet, but I'm not staying at the Eagle Cliff Lodge.
