Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games 2007

Since it hasn't been brought up yet.

The Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games for 2007 is occuring May 19th.

It should be quite a bit cooler than past years. This will be the first time I'm attending since it was moved to the Dakota County Fairgrounds.

    Should be a hoot.

The last 3 years at the fairgrounds were unbearably hot and humid. Last year it was 102ºF (yes, it gets that hot in MN). Not a good day to wear a kilt- I don't know how the pipe bands survived. This year should be better.

    RE: Minnesota Scottish fair

I will be at the fair with my Scotsman.
If any of you will be going, Look for the Clan Gordon flag in the parade of tartans as I will be carrying it.
If any of you would like to join us in the parade, you are welcome!

We will have about 125 kilts, Royal Stewart, Hunting Stewart, Black Watch, Dress Macpherson, Buchanan Modern, Clarke/Clergy Family, Gordon, Dress Gordon, Cameron, Mackenzie, Pride of Scotland, Scottish National, and a few others.. Waist sizes range from Smallest around 30 and I think our largest is 53.. we also have about 17 Minnesota State tartan shawls, several types of fly plaids, and we have a bunch of material and a load of Sporrans and other things. Look forward to seeing you there..

"And yes we will have some low cost bagpipes" and some playable kids pipes also..

I can't go. I'm on the staff for a Scout Leader training course this weekend.
I'm not celtic; I inherited it from my children.
