    Mint Hill 2009

    Time to ask -

Who's going to the Mint Hill Highland Games, March 27 & 28 2009?
They are in south Charlotte NC.

Time to start the games season up in fine style the North Carolina way.

I hope to be there. Not sure of my schedule yet, tho.

I'll hopefully be there. Never been to one of these before and I'm excited to see how it goes. Definitely wouldn't mind meeting some of ya'll there.

How about someone giving some directions. The wife and I drove up last year and never found the games. Stopped and asked directions with no luck. One guy wished he could help, but he had just moved to the area two weeks before from Chicago.

    Go to www.minthillscottishsociey.org

At the bottom of the page on the right is a link "location".

There is a small map there, click on the address within the map and you'll get a nice big map of the area.

    Hopes this helps.

The Mint Hill Games are very easy to get to, right off of I-485 at exit 44 (Fairview Rd.) Head West about 1/4 mile, and the Games site is on your left, in the park.

Rathkeltair will be performing both at the Friday night Ceilidh, and during the Games on Saturday, well worth catching their performace.

Hope to see some friendly XMarks faces there!

I'll be accompanying my middle daughter to a college orientation-type event this weekend. The weather in MH should be good.

I think this one'll be a last minute decision for me. If the weather looks like it's going to hold up, then I'll be there on Sunday. Otherwise, I'll just have to wait for Loch Norman.

The Games are Saturday only, I'm afraid.
