Queen Mary Scottish Festival, Feb 14-15 2009

We've ordered our tickets and are booking a nearby hotel (would love to stay on the Queen, but times being what they are. . .)
There's a meet-up in the works at the beer tent Saturday at 1 p.m. (if there's more than one beer tent, well, just gang up and keep looking!).
No word yet on Saturday night happenings but surely something will be proposed.
Bob will be my walking ad for FlamingoKilt products!

Anybody know a good spot in downtown LB for a Saturday night gathering? C'mon, I know we have some locals who can advise!
[I grew up in Sunset Beach but all my "clubbing" was with a car club, places like The Tappet and Joe Jost's]

My dad and I will be there tomorrow, but I might not be kilted. Due to an unexpected snow storm, I have to walk almost a half mile to my car down an icy slope, and then get a room in town if I'm going to be able to get to the games at all. I'm not going to wear a kilt to the bar tonight, and I'm not sure I want to carry a garment bag down that hill... We'll see.

Yep, it's raining like a son-of-a-gun, off and on, here tonight! Supposed to be clear in LB on Saturday, 40% chance on Sunday last I saw. . . no scrunched hose for Bob! Take note Saturday, he'll be wearing the ones my mother knitted for him!
