The Salado Scottish Clan Gathering & Highland Games, Salado, TX - Nov 13 - 15, 2009

Hello, All!

The Salado Scottish Clan Gathering & Highland Games will be held from Friday evening, November 13, 2009, through Sunday, November 15. It's the oldest surviving Highland Games/Scottish Festival in Texas and it draws a nice crowd. For a small hill country Texas town, the games produce many vendors, athletes, pipers, dancers, other musicians, and clans. I have been a regular attendee for years and don't like to miss it.

I am going to try to go. As I mentioned in another thread, I smacked a deer last night while driving home, so my car is in the shop for a while (and I'm on the hook for the deductible, which ruined my plans to go to the Renaissance Festival). But I could probably still make a day trip in my rental car up to Salado.
