San Diego Highland Games - June 28 & 29

In a little over a month the 35th Annual San Diego Scottish Highland Games & Gathering of the Clans will be held in Vista, California on June 28th & 29th.

We may have a Freemasons booth, but if not we'll come up with a meeting place.

In any event, if you can attend, please keep an eye pealed for the old, fat, bearded guy in the kilt, as I plan on spending a lot of time there on both days.

I'll be there of course. I'm competing on Sunday, but I will probably be there on Saturday as well watching my friends compete. I'll be attending a wedding at the Camp Pendleton Ranch House after the games though, so Sat night is probably a wash.

I'll be there minding the Clan Sinclair tent when I'm not looking up kilts.

I mean AT kilts "AT".

The kilted one and I will be there on Saturday for sure, and Sunday maybe. We are moving household during June so time is precious, but this is our first chance to attend a Games so we will make it at least one day. I'd enjoy meeting some of the forum members. We will be wandering but "based" at the Clan Donnachaidh tent.

I'll be making an appearance at Clan Cameron's tent saturday (hey, I found the beer stand but later saw the Guinness tent ... )
I'll be roaming after the parade, hopefully I'll have my X Marks pin fixed by then.

I finally got word that we will have a Freemasons tent somewhere - so, I will be spending a good deal of my time at the games there. We'll have coffee and sodas, and several chairs and shade....... So come looking for the FOBMIAK there.

Unlike the USS Games in Orange County, the San Diego Games (at least in years past) don't let you walk around with a beer...... I don't know why.

Anyway - I'm sure we can find time to walk over to the beer tent..

I'm planning on making the trip over for the games this year. I've got friends living in SD so lodging is real cheap Plus I'll have to escape the triple digits that Phoenix will get to

I'll be there again on Sunday competing, and there on Saturday watching some friends compete. One of the guys throwing saturday is actually getting married THAT NIGHT so I'll be heading out with him for the wedding.

While I'm there I'll be sure to stop by and see who I can. James, you know I'll visit at FOBMIAK.
