I have been trying talk Joan into it for a week now. She is loosening up. If we go, we may bring with us a couple that are volunteering at Joan's workplace. They are from Scotland.

Thats one of the festivals that I have been wanting to go to, but this year i have tickets for the DC game Sat evening, so I'll have to pass.

This festival was officially my first activity to get cancelled due to the price of gas. We would have spent $40 dollars in gas plus another $30 to get us into the event and who knows how much in food. We just couldn't justify the expense right now. We stayed home and worked in the yard instead.

Next weekend there is a big fairy festival nearby (don't laugh, there are usually more kilts at this show than I see at a lot of highland games and it is the absolute best people watching event you can imagine.) The week after that is Rocky's steet fair or the Frederick celtic festival.

Oh well, maybe next year.
