    St. Louis Scottish Games

The games went off quite well. There was a lot of action happening at all times. The weather couldn't have been much better. Saw some good athletics, listened to some really great piping, had some good eats and dropped by cajunscot's clan booth to say hi.

Stopped by my bank on the way there and caused a rather big stir among the regular girls who work there. As I was leaving, one of the gals, a real sweetie in her 60's yelled out that she wasn't going to ask what I was wearing underneath. I returned the yell with the classic "good girls/bad girls" line. I think it made their whole weekend.

Anyway, on to a couple of pics.

    Some gaming

    Caber fun

    Mickey,

On the drive home this afternoon I thought to myself, "I forgot to get an Xmarks group photo!"

Great event, and it was a pleasure meeting you all!

It was wonderful to meet you, cajunscot! You looked so dapper in the clan parade by the way.

It was such a beautiful day to be outside, too. I am already looking forward to next year.
For me, there is nothing in this world that holds the same fascinating appeal as watching the backside of well kilted man...

The thought of a pic of all of us occurred to me when we got home. TK and I didn't even think to get one of the two of use together till last night. There's always next time though.

Here's a few random kilt shots, some good, some... not so much:

Great pics! Wish I could have been there this year, mates! Tood, you look smashing mate...I am sure you were the best dressed there, however, there would have been a wee bit of serious competition if I would have been present and accounted for! Hahahaha!

WOW, those are great pics. And, the weather looks great, too. I'm always in search of a two-day games to visit for kicks and I have (German-American) ancestry from St. Louis. I may have to think on this for next year. Thanks for the pics.

Let me know if you'll be coming up next year! Unfortunately, there are only a couple of German restaurants in St. Louis, and the best one doesn't open until the evening. There is the Scottish Arms in the Central West End, not far from the games, though...
