    Taste of Scotland, Franklin NC

Can't remember if I posted a thread on this already or not, but it is fast approaching so needs another mention.

Come one, come all, to Franklin, NC's 12th annual Taste of Scotland festival:
    http://www.tasteofscotlandfestival.org/
    June 14, 2008.

This lovely little small-town street fair has music, food, parade, dancing, crafts, kids' activities, education, you name it.

Our honored guests this year include Romilly Squire, heraldic artist to the Lord Lyon, and Maek Harden, Baron of Cowdenknowes, who together will present a seminar on Scottish heraldry. Marjorie Warre, tartan hand weaver, will present a program on tartan. Bob Martin, kilt maker & kilt historian, will be in attendance.

There will be guided museum tours throughout the day. And lots of music, food, and fun!

Hope to see you all there!

That sounds pretty awesome Newsome, I hope I can come, since that's only 2 hours away from me. Hope to see your museum in person.

    Matt,

I should be there. I'm making plans to visit my family that weekend and am really looking forward to it. I should arrive in Franklin the night before.

We really are feeling the pain of not being able to attend the Kilt Camp as well as the Taste of Scotland. Unfortunately do to post wedding finances and work schedules, we just could not commit. We do look forward to the possibility in the future.
