What are "blades" does anyone have a photo?

Here's a pic of Bull Bullock, from the San Diego Black sheep..check his shoes. You wear them for throwing hammer, to help anchor your feet on the ground (if you're serious about it)

Hells Bells....... I was trying to visualize what they looked like. I thought something like ice skates. But these things look bloody wicked

You ought to watch these guys as they dig these things in. It is painful to watch.... But after watching them throw the hammer, you understand!

I hear there even better to walk in

. I don't wear the blades to throw in yet, I just wear my hiking boots. I have ordered the Tanels , the next time I plan to compete is in Oct. @ Loch Hartwell.
