Virginia International Tattoo 2011

After a many years of saying that I will attend the Virginia International Tattoo, 2011 will be the year. I am making a Christmas gift, tomorrow to my Dad, sister, her friend and myself to the 4/30 performance of it. And to think William and Kate will be marrying the day before. Definitely sounds like a kilt night in Norfolk!

Ohhhh yess...Have been trying to get there for awhile...Unca Spam's Kanoe Klub has kept me from it...will make every effort to get there..

Still new to the xscot - just stumbled across this. My oldest daughter got us tickets to the Tattoo for my Christmas present, so we'll be there as well.

Hope to see there. We are booked for the Saturday performance. I'll be easy to spot. I'll be kilted without bagpipes!

That's our day as well. The Celtic Society of Southern Maryland's festival is that day, so I'll be heading south straight from that there wearing my ancient MacKay (and no pipes either...not that I'd know what to do w/them).

I'll be performing there with our band The Toronto Scottish Regiment P&D. They're trying to get 100 Canadian Military Pipers down for it. Should be fun and a great time for all of us Canadians!

I pack up and head down to Norfolk, tomorrow. Hoping to have dinner at the Hampton Pub before the Saturday performance.

For you locals, two hours before each performance the bands will be performing outside Scope which will be free!
