    1st Kilted Pix

Here's my 1st kilt, a Stillwater Irish National I just got. The belt is a little crooked (I was excited to try it on). What are your thoughts/opinions? Please be kind.

Looking sharp. I just got that very same kilt not even a week ago and I hope it looks as good on me as it does you.

Looks great! You are well turned out. Now for some hose, maybe oatmeal or cream, not white IMHO...I know you were in a hurry to don your newly received kilt, but perhaps you would consider wearing it a little higher, showing a little more knee--to the middle of the knee. You have good legs, don't be shy...You have made good choices! Enjoy!

Very smart, but with a wee bit of fine tuning we could have you looking great! Might I suggest(it has already been,I know) that you raise the kilt "hem" a wee tad higher, so that it hangs not below the centre of your knee----brushing the top of your knee cap would be even better. I would change your sporran strap to leather, when you can---its kinder to the kilt and you might consider raising the rear of your sporran strap a wee tad. Nothing too unkind, from me,I hope! Well done and have fun.

Good choice! Looks great! An SWK standard Irish Nat'l was my first kilt too. Being another newcomer to the kilted world my opinions about how they should be worn and "adorned" are rudimentary at best. But regardless of my lack of fashion tips, I can ask a rhetorical question--are kilts comfortable, or what? Enjoy!

    That's a cool-looking tartan! Good taste.
