The firey hair. The big smile. The (slightly) mischievous look on her face. Yep, that's Nighthawk’s girl alright.
God bless the kilted everywhere and all who see them!

The kilt! It gets in your blood and cannae be removed through medicine or magic.

    Nice!

When I first read the title to the post I thought "Oh that's great, Nighthawk's decades of hard work and determination have finally paid off" ....then I realized the post wasn't about you, it was about your daughter!!

Congratulations to her! A winning smile goes a long way in this world of ours.

    Cheers!

    Well done, Charlyna!
And Nighthawk, did you know there was a town with your family name in my province?
Butterworth is the second-largest town in Transkei (after the capital of the former republic, Mthatha).
Transkei forms (roughly) the eastern half of the Eastern Cape Province.
Butterworth was founded as a Methodist mission station along the Gcuwa River.
    Regards,
    Mike

Well, I kinda titled it that way on purpose... Note Biblemonkey's comment about mischief! Yeah, it was fun. The school had a big continuation ceremony. It's actually tough to qualify for the high school in our district- it's a charter school with high standards. Girl made the honor roll. It was actually pretty amusing watching her get that award. She had no clue it was coming, and turned bright red!

No sir, I did not know that! I know there used to be one somewhere in England, but I had no idea there was one in South Africa! Thanks for the interesting bit of information!

Nighthawk: Congratulations to Charlyna!, ... and you, Dad. I'll bet she's excited about going to high school next year. Tell her "good luck" and I hope she has a great experience.
