| | | Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk 2009 Pix
My friend David opens his home in Olde Town Alexandria to the Donnachaidhs and friends who will be participating in the parade.
I meet David when we crewed the Colmcille from Ireland to Scotland in 2003 to commemorate the 1440 anniversary of St. Columba’s voyage to Scotland to found his abbey on Iona.

I headed for the yummy Scottish Eggs that David’s lady Rosalie is renown for making.

I was lucky in finding my required ‘wee sheep’ at a nearby Irish ship for my wife Sharon as my token for my being away from home. |

| | It was a cold and rainy with the promise of turning to snow. I knew I would be the sole member of MacCallum Malcolm Clan and only had my two man parade banner. (I need to contact the Tartan Lady of a vinyl parade banner for this rainy days.) I decided to go to the beginning of the parade and photograph the parade as it came by and would file in behind the Donnachaidhs who were in the rear.
The parade begins and on cue the rain turns to snow!
