    Almost as fast as Stillwater

November 12: Barb posts an offer
    November 13: Rex considers
    November 15: Rex decides
    November 17: Rex measures
    November 17-21: Barb validates measures
November 22: Rex commits to specs (W/H/L + two straps & no loops)
    November 27: Barb finishes
    November 30:

Finally, a traditional kilt that fits! (Steve Ashton's FK was used as a benchmark.)

This thing is a work of art. Everything is beautifully centered and perfectly aligned. You can't see a stitch. Fits like a glove.

Here's the kicker: Barb tells me that she worked on it in the back seat of a car. Now, if that isn't talent, I don't know what is.

Thanks, Barb. This is a very bright spot in what has otherwise been a very challenging week.

    Regards,
    Rex in Cincinnati

p.s. Say, Barb, on the matter that we deliberated on: so, what do you think?

    She's just amazin' ain't she!

I can't even get my sporran finished that fast!!!!! (Of course I am working 50+ hour weeks an hour from my house and prepping for Sunday services on my time off, so sporrans and kilts are on my backburner.)

    Again, THAT'S an 8 YARD TANK!!!!!

A beautiful kilt, Rex. Congrats on a short jones. I totally agree with you on her artistry and talent. You've all seen the Isle of Skye she made for me. She finished it on an airplane.

Kilmaking and piping may be her avocations, but she is also a chaired professor of geology at Hamilton College, so I'd say her talents extend to self-discipline and time management.

She is AMAZING (I was more referring to how I can't seem to actually finish what I start for SO LONG, and making excuses).

Barb made a kilt (with all her weekly obligations) in the time most spend making one working FULL TIME.
