    Talking ARRRR... Pirates !

    Actually just yet another of Zardoz' Texas Renaissance Festival photo essays... This was pirate weekend (10/24) at TRF, and I wasn't going to attend, but my girltorage and the great weather got me up there for the day!

    A motley crew! Brenda, Sandy, Shelley, Zardoz, AnnMarie and Chris.

    Mrs.Zardoz shows off her piratical bloomers!

    Some pirates were less "historically accurate" than others!

    Hey...Nice Melons!

    The sign says "The World According to Mark" But contrary to my friend's guesses, the shop was not full of Beer, Sci-Fi and Ayn Rand Novels!

    Wow...looks like a great time and there were definitely some saucy wenches in attendance. Arrrrrr!

    Why do belly dancers always show up whenever pirates are about? Arrrrr!

    you know I wondered about that, then I thought about pirates or even sailors, they travel to exotic lands, and enjoy beautiful women... and what's more exotic and beautiful than belly dancers? it made sense...at least to me....LOL

    now you have me listening to Barleyjuice, and "Beauty and the Rum" and listening to a song that has sailors and a belly dancing beat to it...LOL

    A little off topic, but for a little Celtic music, here's Circa Paleo's version of Dougie MacLean's "The Gael". One of their tunes that I enjoyed today;

    If it weren't for corsets there wouldn't be RenFaires. Gotta love 'em.
