    Burns must attract seagulls as his statue in Dumfries often has one too!

    Great pics Alex - and I have an interest in Ayr, as I lived there for 18 months. I have a spectacular pic of the sun setting from the bridge over the isle of Arran in midsummer - if I could only lay my hands on it.

    It looks as if the usual apartment building blight along the harbour has happened in Ayr - something that seems to be universal in virtually every town in Britain and Ireland.
