BBQ at the Devils Canyon Brewery and a new hat!

The Devils Canyon Brewery, that fine establishment where the Nor Cal Rabble gather for many a refreshing and tasty beverage, offered a special BBQ for members of its "beer club". It happens a few of the rabble are proud members of the club and here are a few pictures of our evening.

Note: I am also going to offer some of these to Dan "The Man" Curran for the DCB website, so if he posts them there everything is Jake.

Emergency BBQ catered the event and we enjoyed some lovely ribs and BBQ meats. The DCB folks offered up their Lager Diabla, Silicon Blonde, Haberno, and Red Devil Rye beers for the night (though the Red Devil Rye went pretty quick as Dan the Younger was thirsty )

Madalyn and walkerk had a surprise in store for me, an early birthday present!









Kevin isn't the only X Marker with a pith helmet anymore! This just might prevent me from aquiring my normal Highland Games sunburn. I will get the chance to find out at the Campbell Games Saturday.

Also in the package was a special military jacket. It rolls into a tiny package and its purpose is to worn to assist airborne searchers to find you on the ground.






Kent thought it would go perfectly with a couple of my kilts













I can't imagine why......



My sincere thanks to Madalyn and Kent, you are swell friends.



It was really a nice evening with perfect weather, good company, and a chance to enjoy a little more conversation than is normally posible at the boisterous "Beer nights".

The Full moon rose as my Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I headed home

Man, I wish we had such a brewery here in the Charlotte-area. We had one, and sadly it went under. The Pith helmet suits you to a T, sir!

You need to wear the pith helmet with our military inspied outfit, it does loook good on you and should help with the notorious higland games burn that I myself am sporting these days.
