    belated Xmarks xmas meetup pics

    I almost forgot about these...

Back in December, I went out for a pint with NewGuise. It was supposed to be the first time we would meet in person but we both ended up at the same xmas party the night before. A colleague of his is my father's next door neighbour. Small world, eh?

Edmonton is very cold in the winter and that evening it was around -20 Celcius (-4 Farenheit). Nonetheless, the only thing that suffered from a brisk 20 minute walk were my knees

    Heading down to the pub:

Isn't that the oddest thing?... Cool pictures (hey, see what I did there? )

Edit: I've been in Medicine Hat and CFB Suffield in minus 40. Canadian winters are shocking. I've also been to Edmonton but it was a while ago and we only had time to visit numerous Pubs! I can't even remember the name of the Hotel we stayed in but I recall it had a swimming pool and there was a female bouncer who was a bit miffed when I pitched myself into it at 2 in the morning. I didn't argue, she was bigger than me. There was also a Wendy's next door for all our breakfast needs. Good times with good company. I like Edmonton.

Good photos, what a small world. BTW love the oxblood docs and hose on NewGuise.

    Hose and flashes

Was going to comment on the red hose with the blue flashes...that's a striking contrast...I like it a lot!

I also really like that hunting sporran that you're wearing CMcG. What brand is it?

I see both of you are rocking the "Chin Sporran" aka "Flavor Saver" aka "Soul Patch".

Up until I recently grew my "Winter Coat" (Beard), I myself was the proud owner of a Chin Sporran as well.

Thanks, the sporran is from the Scottish Lion. It is surprisingly nice and well put together for such a low price.

Great pictures! I've only been to Edmonton (my dad's birthplace) in the summer, and I intend to keep it that way!
