Black Watch dressy-casual for holiday party...

I went kilted to a former coworker's holiday party tonight and decided to go with the Black Watch and dress it up a bit. Black french-cuff dress shirt, black dress shoes, cream hose w/flashes. All in all, I think it was quite sharp. I was the most dressed up person there, which was great! All comments were very positive!

It's a good look. I like a black shirt with the BW.

    Bryan,

I think the outfit looks great, however I would loose the chain, as I can see that you had to double it up on the side. If you like the chain look replace the chain with two choke chains, which can be bought at any pet supply store and will not damage your kilt like the cheap chain that most sporans come with, or just use an all leather thin purse belt. Other than that I think you look grand.

Good point... I do have a leather sporran strap that I use when I'm going more casually (I have it on my Nightstalker sporran at the moment), but it would have complemented this look a bit better. I like the chain look, but being very small-waisted, I have to take up a lot of slack on any chain I use. This one hasn't caused any damage to my kilts, but I can see the possibilities. I may try taking up more of the slack on the chain and then letting the strap itself out a little more to compensate for the difference. It'll look a bit better if I do that anyway. Thanks for your suggestions! Cheers!

Certainly looking sharp (and clearly enjoying yourself!)

With the dark shirt and the Black Watch the white hose actually provide a great contrast to the whole ensemble.
