Black XKilt at Fashion Show

As promised, here is a picture of me in my new black XKilt running the lighting console for my friend Sarah's fashion show tonight. That's also the black canvas sporran I made a few weeks ago:

Two comments so far (shows over, I'm drinking a beer), an old friend said "nice kilt, nice legs too" and a friend of the DJ's, seeing me away from the console for the first time said "dude, you're wearing a kilt, that's awesome."

I had to make a run across the room as the show itself ended as my house light operator had taken a break, very exciting.

Sarah, the producer of the show, told me as we were leaving the venue at 12;30am that she loved the kilt and her boyfriend was jealous. I told her I could recommend several good kilt makers in the bay area. She made me promise that if I ever put on a kilt fashion show, I'd let her produce it.

This morning at breakfast one of the other men at the hotel asked if I had been going to a wedding and complimented me on the look.

No, but you may on Friday. This was its first public appearance. I had to rebuild the right side of the pleats because I got offline on my measurements. I'm happy with the end result, but it took longer to get there than I might have liked.
