A few views of Blists Hill Victorian Town in daylight

And a few of the actors in their Victorian costumes

Victorian Lady

The Doctor's Wife

The Printer

The Bank Manager

The Tile Maker

Hereabouts in the Severn Gorge area of Shropshire England iron was first smelted in 1709 and the area became the birthplace of the industrial revolution. This is the Bedlam Furnaces, constructed in the seventeen fifties.

The Iron Bridge across the River Severn is the oldest surviving cast iron bridge and was constructed in 1769.
That's all folks.

I am so glad you've posted, Alex - none of my pictures came out!

It was a great night and I must say we X Markers were the best dressed there.

Regards

Chas

Wonderful photos, Alex. Do the towns people stay in costume seven days a week, or is it just for certain holidays?
